The Grants & Contracts Team is committed to delivering outstanding service to our customers in support of their research portfolio.

Support is provided from the time our team is notified of a funding opportunity, through the award stage, until all close-out documents have been delivered to the sponsor, and the account is closed.

Budget Information

Our services include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Review of Proposal/RFP/RFQ Guidelines
  • Preliminary budget formulation
  • Prepare renewal/supplemental proposals
  • Serve as liaison with Sponsored Program Administration (SPA), funding agencies, collaborating institutions, or other external partners. 
  • Award Management – compliance with award terms, including expenditure review.
  • Budget projections
  • Facilitate submission of unfunded agreements through SPA (i.e. Material transfer, data sharing, non-disclosure agreement, collaboration agreement)
  • Monitor account balances
  • Appointment review and approval
  • Verification of funding for purchases and proposed travel
  • Collaborate with other units on multi-disciplinary grant projects
  • Collaborate with EBSC Purchasing team
  • Monitor and facilitate payment of sub-award invoices
  • Assist in set up and management of Startup accounts (if applicable), ICR accounts, and gift accounts.
  • Assist with semi-annual certifications of grant expenditures
  • Assist with document preparation for budget modifications, no-cost extension requests, and sub-award amendment requests
